This project explores how drones can support search and rescue teams by delivering life-saving equipment while rescuers are still on their way. It is designed for harsh Nordic conditions, where cold, distance, terrain and poor communication can reduce survival chances and increase risk for rescue teams.
The concept is a modular assist drone that can carry equipment adapted to the situation, lower it by winch, provide light, support communication and reassure victims from above. By bringing critical equipment closer to the situation, it can help improve survival chances while lightening the load for rescuers moving through difficult terrain
